A new Begining: Chapter 3

The little 12-year-old saiyaness was caught in a corner. She didn't know what else to say. As Joey's eyes were fixed on her and waiting for an answer. What could she do? She couldn't tell them the truth just yet; she might change things too much if she'd tell them.

"Oh that's alright, I guess your not supposed to tell us that either. I suppose your goal isn?t to change the future too much huh. You only want the earth to be safe." Jess said looking upon Jewels. She nodded with relief. Joey sat back in his seat and crossed his arms.

"Come along, I'll show you to a room you could sleep in. You'll be sharing a bed room with my daughter Tifa." Jess Smiled as she leaded the way. Jewels looked at her with a puzzled look. "You have a daughter?" Jewels asked. "Yes, her parents died so I took her in and adopted her." Jess explained with a smile.

They arrived at the room then Jess pulled out a air mattress from the closet and started to fill it up with air using a machine. Jewels put her backpack down next to it and looked around the room. It was intact her room in her time line.

"I know it's not much for now but it might take a while before I can afford to get a other bed in here." Jess said finishing up the mattress. Jewels kneeled down on one knee and started looking in her backpack for something. She took out a little pouch of gold coins and handed it to Jess. "Will this be enough?" Jewels asked, not knowing about prices in the stores.

Jess looked over what she was given with a surprised look. "Where did you get all this money?" Jess looked up at her with amazement. "Well, my mentor had picked what she found from housed and such for me if I'd ever need anything. In my time line there wasn't anyone else there to trade money around with." Jewels explained the best she could.

"Well tomorrow you and I could go shopping for a bed and such. Maybe even some new cloths for you." Jess smiled at the thought of going shopping once more.

"Sh-opping?" Jewels looked at her confused once more.

"Yeah, it's when you go into a store and go buy things. You trade in money for items that you want. You'll get the hang of it" Jess Giggled.

"Alright, if you say so." Jewels smiled a bit.

"For tonight I don't think Tifa will mind you using one of her nightgowns. Why don't you give me your jacket and I'll sow up that rip on your arm." Jess offered, sounding motherly as ever.

"ok." Jewels said as she took off her jacket. Once removed, scars, burses and wounds were shown.

"Oh my gosh, your hurt. Come I'll help you with those" Jess said worriedly. Jewels looked back at her oddly. "I'll be fine, it's nothing really... I'm used to having these. Every time I'd get healed I'd always end up fighting Ca..her" She said looking down.

Jess took Jewels' arm and made her sit down on Tifa's bed as she went to get some bandages. Jess soon came back and started to bandage up her wounds. "I'm fine really..." Jewels complained. "shhhh... it's ok you don't have to act all tough around me" Jess continued to wrap the bandages on her. "There, all done. It wasn't so hard now was it?" Jess smiled.

"I suppose not." Jewels agreed. She then looked down at her legs. "If I showed her everything, I'd look like a mummy" Jewels thought to herself. She knew more about history then she knew about the present.

"Well I'd better go and prepare lunch; it isn't easy with a big group like this ya know. Also I'd better check up on poor Bobby." Jess sighed. "I'll go check up on him, you can go and prepare lunch. I'm not to much of a cook, but I?d be glad to help out someone else." Jewels offered.

"Would you? He's in the healing chamber down the hall. Thanks" Jess said as she walked into the kitchen.

Jewels entered the room and saw him just lying there. She felt a bad vibe from the very first glace of him. "Oh well, if Mumsy trusts him I suppose I could try.. but I just have a bad feeling about him.." Jewels said to herself walking closer to him. "I don't think they use senzus to much here? but I can't afford to use those until the battle... maybe I could.." She looked down to her heart necklace then back at him. "It's not a big wound.. this shouldn't hurt to much.." she said to herself again. She took a deep breath and placed her hand over Bobby as her necklace shimmered. Her hand then began to glow blue.

Joey in the other room sensed something and ran into the room. The first thing he saw to his amazement was Jewels with her eyes shut tightly with one glowing hand over Bobby. "What are you doing???" Joey yelled. With that Jewels feel to her knees and her hand stopped glowing. Her wounds began to bleed again to her surprise.

Joey ran to her "Kid what the heck were you trying to do?" Joey said to her angrily. "I..was just trying to heal him.." Jewels said as she was about to fall to the ground. Joey picked her up and placed her down on an other table bed.
