A new Begining: Chapter 4

Joey looked closer to her wounds. "How did you get hurt while healing him?" Joey asked sharply. Jewels looked up at him. "I only tried to heal your friend.. I'm not quite sure how to use that power yet.. because of that I got hurt." Jewels winced as she explained.

"My friend? Whoa, I'm not calling that shit a friend!" Joey yelled.

Jess ran in hearing Joey's voice. "what's going on here?" Jess asked then noticed Jewels hurt more then ever. "Oh my gosh, are you ok? What happened???" Jess Exclaimed as she ran to her side.

"I'm fine really...? lied Jewels. "She said she tried to heal Bobby, but she hurt herself instead." Joey explained seeing the worried look in Jess' eyes. "Why did you go and do that for, Bobby will be fine, this is way worse!" Said a worried Jess. "I'll be fine in about a week or 2." Explained Jewels.

"Don't be silly, it will take months until your body can be back to normal again. Now I?m going to get some more bandages for you stay here." Jess took some more bandages and wrapped them around her wounds.

"Umm Jess.." Jewels' voice perked up. "Yes?" Answered Jess still putting the bandages on. "Who's Bobby?" Jewels asked with curiosity. "Oh, Bobby? He's a guy from work whom I'm dating" Said Jess glancing at Joey.

"WHAT?" Yelled Joey with rage. "Him?? That jerk, that @#%$!?" Joey continued. "He's none of those things, Joey! And yes I am dating him!" Answered Jess firmly.

Joey grunted and stormed out of the room and into the training room in the backyard. "Why that lil @#%$ is getting all the attention from Jess, he's only going to end up using her and hurting her deeply.. grrr I hate him so much!" Growled Joey as he powered up some more. "Jess dating that..thing! grr.. I can't believe she even said that!" Joey trained harder and harder at the thought.

Back in the healing room with Jess, Jewels and Bobby. Jewels looked up at Jess with confused eyes. Who was this guy she thought, why is he with Jess and not Joey? This wasn't right.

"Joey is so grumpy ever since he met Bobby" Sighed Jess. "Umm Jess, why is Bobby staying here?" Asked Jewels. "Well Joey beat him up, and until he gets better he'll be staying here." Explained Jess. "Sounds to me like he's being protective of you, Jess" giggled Jewels.

"Yeah right, he?s just jealous about Bobby" Argued Jess. Jewels didn't say a other word, she never saw her mother act like this before.

"Well I'm going to go prepare lunch, Go-chan and Tifa should be coming in soon." Said Jess. "I'm coming too, I don't like being alone" Jewels got up and stood on her feet. "You should rest, you're not strong enough." Argued Jess. "Don't worry about me, I'm a big girl I can take care of myself." Grinned Jewels. "You know, you're as stubborn as Joey is." Laughed Jess. "Alright come along, but I don't want you to get yourself hurt more then you already are. Agreed?" Smiled Jess. "Agreed" Said Jewels as they walked to the kitchen.

Just then Tifa and Go-chan ran in. "Give me my purse back Tifa!" Yelled an annoyed Go-chan. "No way" Giggled Tifa as she ran into the kitchen. "Why I oughta.." Grumbled Go-chan just before she entered the kitchen. They both stopped in their tracks when they saw Jewels, all bandaged up practically everywhere.

"AH!!! Another stranger to take mummy's attention away from me!!" Whined Tifa.

"I take it, that's Tifa." Said Jewels with a sweat drop above her head.

"Hey Sis, who's the kid?" Asked Go-chan oddly.

"I dunno Auntie Go-chan but she looks like a mummy from Attack of the mummies 3" Blinked Tifa as she approached Jewels. "She's so pale and stuff" Tifa got closer and right in her face. Jewels just stood there confused and weirded out. "OooooOO Lookit the pretty necklace." Said Tifa as she went to pick it up. The moment her hand touched it the necklace zapped her. "Ouchies! That hurt! What's the deal?" Whined Tifa.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to do that. It was a reaction. You ok?" Apologized Jewels
